Just wondering if anyone’s heard this being stated elsewhere?

Reminded me of the German U-Boat story https://www.mentalfloss.com/history/world-war-ii/poop-sank-wwii-german-u-boat

Or, more likely, their toilets are shit. So to speak.

Never forget the one shitter that just leaked sewage for a while on deployment, stepping over that little river to take a shower was so gross.

Beware. Bad guys could be in both team.

Malicious compliance is a tool they can use.

what connect am i missing here, they think the socks are stopping it from sinking?

6 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

the sewage problem has diverted the whole carrier to port, which I believe is the intention.

The ship is old and repairs and upgrades don't get done when they should. I watched a video that said that ship doesn't have enough toilets for everyone on board and there are lines to use them. This will also overwhelm the waste treatment facilities.

Old? Hahahahahhaa, CVN's have a planned life of 50 years. I was stationed on Ford from 14-18.. we commissioned in 2017... it's NOT old.. just a POS..

6 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The Ford is practically brand new. It's not even ten years old yet.

there are 650 toilets, all vacuum connected to each other and it only takes 1 to F the rest. seems the back of teh toilets are falling off.

oh jesus *any* of the toilets can be the single point of failure for the whole system? That's some dumb fuck engineering right there.

It's not exactly like that, they can cut off pressure to certain areas. We had a shitter break on my deployment and the F"n marines training near it just kept shitting in it. About a foot above the line is where the poop stopped. Was fixed without cutting all other shitters etc, just had to charge it a bit and BOOM I had lower ranked sailors cleaning human shit off walls for a day.

https://www.marineinsight.com/shipping-news/worlds-largest-us-aircraft-carrier-uss-gerald-r-ford-battles-massive-toilet-failure-amid-iran-tensions/ The clogs are mainly caused by calcium build-up in the pipes and by improper items like t-shirts and mop heads being flushed.
"Improper items" perhaps the young crew dont want to go to war?

6 months ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 3

Just like it says on this post, you mean...?

6 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 11

the post is about a flase flag operation to justify war with iran "think of all those young men lost" "join today" "down with iran" and the ususal propoganda the govt makes of a crisis.

I am suggesting its the young crew just dont plain want to go to war to suit a bunch of old suits playing golf and taking bets on the outcome. "shitter's fucked" or a ship with a history of it is an easier form of sabotage to get away with.

You are suggesting what this post is already saying.

To start with the crew had their deployment extended by Trump. Golly, who knew a guy that called troops sucker and losers wouldn't give a shit about the people under his command. People have missed funerals, weddings, etc. Moral has to be a problem.

There have been reports of the US Ford having toilet issues going back at least 7 weeks. The earliest I found was from early January when it was deployed in the Caribbean off the coast of Venezuela. Most of the reports seem to originate from social media and blogs of dubious veracity all all seem to cite each other as the source... so... there was probably a clogged toilet at one point, but I doubt it's as severe as this post states.

That's the early article I mentioned (it's from January 17th). It also doesn't mention anything about the clogs being intentionally used as a false flag but instead speculates it's because the soldiers are college-aged kids on their own for the first time and don't understand that flushing things doesn't magically make it go away. All the articles about the Ford being used as a false target to start a war are from much more dubious sources.

Sailors know better. Source: in my 21st year as a Sailor.

21yr veterans should know better. 1st year ensigns who are dumb-ass kids... maybe not

6 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The first time the system goes down, training is given to all hands.. by the 3rd or 4th time, you wind up having people standing watch in the heads...

6 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

More likely the sewage system on the ship is just junk.

6 months ago | Likes 46 Dislikes 2

It was when i was stationed on her from 2014-2018...

6 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Which is probably one of the thoughts on why they picked it to be sacrificed as a tool to start the war. Don't want a brand new one being your false flag.

This is literally the newest supercarrier in the fleet.

6 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well, then maybe due to the problems. Not sure who would be even considering this in the first place.

6 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They wouldn't, it's dumb AF as a concept

6 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

$400K each time they flush the lines out with acid.

6 months ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 2

Yea I was reading about it just yesterday. Basically there was a miscommunication somewhere along the design phase and it has too few toilets to begin with, They tried a new system that was terrible in the long run, and pipes are calcified. Basically a perfect shit storm that needed to be dealt with at dock and instead they got shipped out.

Just another stunning action demanded by our leader
