I really don't understand why women feel the need to do this to themselves. All of this body modification nonsense. I don’t think they’re required exactly, and they definitely want it. It sends a message though - “I have beaucoup money to throw away and I am so committed to being a part of this circle that I will permanently change my body so I fit in here.”
They would go with tattoos on their foreheads if that didn’t lose them the Christian vote with the whole “mark of the beast” thing.
