After getting my 2nd cat ive come to realize hissing doesnt mean they are angry. It just means whatever is going on is too much or they setting a boundary before something gets the chance to happen. 8 yr old cat and a 7m old cat. 8 yr old hisses at the most random times and doesnt look upset at all otherwise and continues to engage the kitten in play.
