I found out about Keith David from my years of gaming. The Arbiter, Sergeant Foley, Captain Anderson to name a few characters he voiced. Love this for him

He also took over as Zavala in destiny last year after lance reddik died, and has done a fantastic job. Loved him in the thing back in the day too, but he’ll always be Goliath (gargoyles) to me

Guy is a legend and desires the recognition

The dude's voice is liquid velvet.

Was lucky enough to wait on him and his family a few times at an old job. He was such a warm and friendly person, also was willing and seemed to enjoy talking about his work. He even remembered my name after a couple of visits. Always love to see him getting the recognition he deserves. Man has the voice of a god.

He might be a loser, baby, but he's hot friends on the other side.

1 year ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

Every one of his roles is just fantastic. Hero, villain, somewhere in between.

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Is encouraging white people being a hero, villain or somewhere in between?

"you're a loser, baby, a loser goddamn baby you're a fucked up little whiny bitch" had me rolling.

That man can sing, on top of being a pleasure to listen to.

1 year ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

His song in hazbin hotel last year was phenomenal, and Id forgot he was the villain princess and the frog, he had a great song in that too.

1 year ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Yeah, the HH song really drove it home just how talented he is. Plus it's catchy as hell (ha). And Princess and the Frog was one of the last great animated villain songs. His voice work is solid, his musical work is stellar.

Walk of Fame stars are bought, not awarded.

1 year ago | Likes 327 Dislikes 46

They are awarded. It's not open to just anyone with the money just because there is an associated fee. There is a nomination process and only 20-30 people are selected each year. The "award" part is the opportunity to have a star in the first place. Think of it like getting into Harvard or some other elite University, you have to get selected before paying tuition, and since most nominees have their nominator pay the fees anyway they effectively get selected under scholarship in this analogy

Can you replace the LLM I use ever once in a while? This was informative, short and the analogy really brought it home.

$50,000, so I heard.

1 year ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 4

VERY long WP Filmography list. But minimum requirements are generally "5 yrs in entertainment, awards or nominations, philanthropic work, and 85K for someone to pay for installation & maintenance”

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah, thats why she says happy birthday. This was the gift.

1 year ago | Likes 239 Dislikes 4

While celebrities don't buy their stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, they or their sponsors are responsible for a fee to cover the costs associated with the star's creation, installation, and ongoing maintenance. This fee is currently $50,000, according to Visit California and Wikipedia. The money also contributes to the star's dedication ceremony and upkeep of the Walk of Fame.

How about you learn a little bit instead of just vomiting bullshit your bro told you.

Ah yes. Sorry, not sorry if you are offended by truth. Too many folks say this shit like the actors didnt work for or deserve it.

1 year ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 8

"There's a fee, it's not bought. Somebody paid money for this, but it's not a purchase!"

That's what you said, dude. Why don't you learn a little bit of how English concepts work a lit bit instead of just vomiting bullshit you came up with based on your own prejudices and biases about capitalism and the "free market"

1 year ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 22

The attitude is a bit much. I'd tone it down. Maybe go take a walk, get away from the keyboard for a bit. It's bad for your blood pressure.

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Donald Trump has a star. That right there tells you they’re paid for. He’s never earned anything but ire his whole life.

1 year ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 6

Thats not true. Before becoming a populist nightmare he was a relatively popular gameshow host and tv personality. Thats actually his whole brand, he portrays a successful no nonsense businessman and people love it.

1 year ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

I feel like a lot of people forget they themselves were saying "your fired" all the time. He genuinely WAS entertaining on The Apprentice.

It is bought and earned. I couldn't buy one right now even though I have the money.

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Sounds bought.

1 year ago | Likes 44 Dislikes 20

It is not.. I forget who it is but there was an actor who was awarded one without having the money. But since you have to pay to have it installed, he couldn't get it installed. Someone else eventually raised the money. You can call that buying if you want, but if that's the case then you might as well say me driving to pick up an award where I had to pay the gas to drive. There means the award was bought. You completely erase the earning from the picture when you frame it that way.

1 year ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

From what I read, there is a whole nomination process. Even if they have to pay it later, "bought" is also not accurate, as I can't have one even if I had the money.

1 year ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Ok, go and ask to buy one and see what happens. The nomination and awards is only extended to a few dozen people a year. The fact that they (or usually the film studio etc nominating them) pays a fee if they are selected doesn't suddenly mean you can just show up with cash and get one

1 year ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

So, if someone gave you a nice car. And you were expected for upkeep. That is bought to you?

1 year ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 21

I still get the car if I don't pay for upkeep? Just drive it into the gound.

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Lol if myself or my "sponsors" are responsible for a fee to cover the costs associated with the cars creation, delivery, and ongoing maintenance then yes that's like the literal definition of "bought".

1 year ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 6

They're both. You can't just roll up and buy one. They have to want to award it to you first, and then you have to agree to pay some associated costs.

1 year ago | Likes 126 Dislikes 1

no, you can absolutely can just roll up and buy one. They act like you can, the mass of C tier or lower names on their shows they lie to keep an exclusive image.

I struggle to imagine who thought Trump was wanted. Bc he has a star.

1 year ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

Not sure anybody did but if you go by his career he technically did acting, he was in several movies, TV commercials for different companies and even had his own TV show. Still a pos but meets the criteria

1 year ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Greed, the people who run the walk don't actually care, you just have to be an "actor" with enough money to pay the fee and bribe the people making decisions if you suck

1 year ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

You realize trump was in several movies, commercials for different companies and even had his own TV show. I know hes a piece of shit but he meets the criteria of being able to buy or get a star
