#1 why oh why, when you get NOT word by wotd ADHD subtitles, you get fuzzy and SMALL font with bad contrast to the background? Tooany lines to boot!

Why the F can't people get this shit right....

White subtitle with black 2-3px border, 2 lines and as many words per line as you can decently fit...

Fuck!

I got this crap right in the 2000...

I love her intro every time she a "rich people shit us poors..." segment. It has just a hint of British snob with the cadence of Robert Leach from lifestyles of the Rich and famous.

Very mid-atlantic/transatlantic accent, like Frasier and Niles

#3 I think she could pull those off, I wouldn't be complaining

#3 I'd pay money to see her in those outfits, lol.

I don't have any problems with luxury items being way overpriced. I certainly wouldn't buy them but the superrich buy them exactly because they are so overpriced and for some companies you even have to be referred to by an already existing customer and will still be placed on a waiting list just to sell the illusion of exclusivity.

The super rich are just so disconnected from normal life it's hard to believe.

I think she would look good in some of those outfits. She should try, in the name of science.

Show my feet for free?!? In this economy?!?

#1 whether for display or not, you know someone is unserious about surfing when they spend THAT MUCH on a surfboard where the only thing they're really buying is the brand name

1 month ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I love her.

She supports small stores that sell big clothing. I mean, for obvious reasons. But I still love that. Especially as a big lady myself.

I do that at museums, and car parks, friends houses, etc. what emblem is that... An alfa, naaaaawww that's a good isn't it, bet the guy that owns that one next to it is white trash. My wife just nods at me. Where the hell did you find this, on a beach in Paraguay, got it at a thrift shop.... Where.... in the Congo

#1 Nobody that's spending that much for a surfboard actually knows how to surf. They get put on the yachts, looked at, appreciated, then maybe floated on for the fifteen minutes the ghoul sits in the water before getting out to go get a hot stone liquid nitrogen pill massage because of how strenuous that was to be in the ocean for so long.

These people never do anything that's actually taxing because they all have this mentality of how they're above work of any kind, including the work that goes into actually having fun or enjoying themselves. If they could, then they wouldn't be such vicious vampires.

Loved learning about Mathurine de Valois too!

Few men buying the business jellies will be interested in dating women...

#6 I want to know why they are not in stocks. Like you are going to sweat in those and its going to be uncomfortable to take off

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The surf board one is messing with me, I mean did they buy an actual surfboard and then just pain it?

Likely

Fashion houses don't spin their own yarn or tan their own leather either.

Her voice is mesmerizing. I could let her remind me how poor I am for hours.

Her day job is narrating audio books. So yeah...

There was a television show in the US from the mid-80s to the early 90s called "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous", kind of like MTV Cribs before that was ever a thing. If there were a modern version of that show, this woman would be a perfect host/narrator.

Those men's jellies would just be over flowing with sweat, especially if they were ever in the sun while on my feet.

I bought a pair of clear ankle boots once. They looked pretty cool until you wear them for any length of time. They frosted up with steam. Socks or not. Wore them twice for about 30 minutes each time. The end.

Men tend to wear socks in closed shoes for a damn good reason, and those things would multiply my normal sweat by a factor of 10.

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Imagine how well the dead skin would peel off of these after a full day of soaking in sweat, combined with some friction. I bet you could tear off complete layers!

"Hey, what color are tendons? No reason..."

1 month ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I mean, leather dress shoes aren't exactly cool and breathable, but those look like they particularly lock in the flavor. And no socks?

#4 I would absolutely love to do that, it sounds like a blast. I'm gonna ask some of my friends back home if they're up for it whenever I get back. In the mean time, when dad's in getting his next round of chemo I'm going to go check out the museum here. It's a bit of a hike to get there but I haven't been to one in ages.

1 month ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Do it! And then tell us the best thing you made up in there :)

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

All depends on when I'm able to head home. It may be a while, it might be soon. That's completely out of my hands unfortunately.

Me and my best friend did basically MST3K live a couple of times when we visited a girl I liked. We had her and her sister dying. One of them was the Thomas Crown Affair with Pierce Brosnan. Such a boring movie. But any time Brosnan would start moving, we'd alternate busting out the James Bond theme and the other would say, "NO, WE ARE NOT HAVING FUN. STOP THAT."

1 month ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hahahahaha! That's awesome

#8 pretty sure my mom had a pair to go to the beach in the '80s, they had straps like sandals.

1 month ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I had sandal jellies (like the classic 80-90’s ones) a bit over 10 yrs ago - DO NOT RECOMMEND. the most uncomfortable thing to wear on hot days. So sweaty. So sticky.
Can’t even imagine wearing closed ones?! Nah thanks.

for that amount of money, kinda doubt it. more likely its status symbols and in some cases, actual appreciation

Only if there's a real aftermarket for used items, like art or real estate. When they can trade hands at literally any price, that's your dark money. That's how Russia paid Trump, by paying over the going rate for his real estate.

Linus from LTT had a theory that the super rich just hire someone to furnish their apartments and one of the reasons these things, as well as too-expensive rugs and extortionate little buttons and handles and shit exist, is as an excuse to drive up the total cost so that the person hired to furnish it, who charges a percentage commission on top of the cost of the items, can squeeze as much personal profit as possible out of it

1 month ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

...as the payer claims a lot of the cost as a tax break...
