An interesting side note that I just learned, the rest of the NATO countries do not include as much military healthcare spending, nor veterans care in their military budgets while the US does include that in DoD/VA budgets. Why? Because they have universal healthcare and social safety nets that are part of their civilian budgets.

I am no fan of Rutte but realistically, what are his options? Whether he likes it or not he has to manage Trump. His glaringly obvious onset of dementia, his lack of understanding of geopolitics, and Rutte still has to attempt to keep NATO together until Trump dies, gets impeached, or is out of office. Managing a toddler is not fun even when it is your own.

Yeah. He was more mellow behind the curtains and we actually got what we wanted. A unified NATO backing fully up around article 5, a point of saying russia is the main agressor and issue for NATO. Also got trump to say Ukraine get the licensing to make patriot missiles which will be valuable for not only Ukraine when they get that running, but also Europe because i'm pretty sure they will make a huge-ass production
