I can beat this-- A week ago, I used some wood that was left in my house by the previous owner when we bought it, and which in fact seems to have been left over building materials from the construction of the house itself thirty-plus years ago, so several different owners have held on to it all this time.

I actually did this about a month ago, needed to spray an electric guitar body, so used a bit of off cut and attach it where the neck goes. Made the body so much easier to move around

That feeling is like nothing else. A couple years ago I needed to cover a plumbing access hole with something I could easily remove. Had two perfectly sized wood boards in my garage attic that I had put there over a decade ago that were perfect.
