2 days ago, my mom recommended his comedy to me as just being, "so funny!" I listened for a bit and a little was funny, but his comedy acts like politics doesn't exist. Its great for my mom, who walks away from any conversation involving politics, sex, or bad words as if she can ignore it into not existing, but its like a guy walking around with a blindfold on. How can you be a comic today and not seem to have anything to say about anything relevant?

The only other way to interpret it is "I don't have an opinion because I don't care about others" (this includes "I was told taking about politics is rude and I care more about how people perceive me than I do about the lives of those around me"). But great either way.
