Okay, I have to say that those "deaf baby gets cochlear implants and hears mom say 'I love you'" videos are horrible for a few reasons:
1) the implication that they weren't able to tell them that they loved them before
2) they totally fail to understand how new cochlear implants work, the baby is just getting blasted with a bunch of sensations their brains can't process yet
3) parents giving their kids unnecessary surgery because they can't be bothered to learn sign language is just shitty

I'm trying to maintain hope in this world, and wholesome scrolling really helps. It's the only way I've been able to find, and trust, genuinely good people and let them into my life. The former version of me who'd love to doom scroll threatened the license of his former therapist if she repeated anything he said to anyone. He also found out where she lived, and was trying to find a way into her friend's circle to spy on her. So... it's really good to see that stuff.

I have to look for it, it's too easy to see the bad and think "humanity needs to all die" and then just become a horrible hermit. At least for me. The wholesome dumps revive my faith in humanity.
