they got there name from them wearing their flat caps down over one eye , not from blinding people with razors in their caps like in the show. or so its thought anyway but who knows. a razor cap slap would be pretty effective, and have similar psychological affect as Glasgow smiles and columbian neckties.

Never watched the show, but the relative likenesses are pretty good. Middle two most of all, left most the actor looks like a grown up version of the real person and the right...mostly just the moustache.

Well, the gangster way of life is usually not that exciting in terms of variety.

They are making a movie

I watched a bit of that, but JESUS christ does this show have an annoying fan base. A lot of these "youtube sigma male" bullshit dudes, making peakeeh blindahh their whole feckin personality.

You try actually living in Birmingham, every Saturday night there would be loads of drunken stag/bachelor parties from all over the country come dressed as them.
It’s not very original or close to funny when you’ve got 5 different groups all dressed the same in one pub and constantly shouting “BY ORDER OF THE PEAKY FUUUKIN’ BLINDERS” every 30 seconds!

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Wonder what they thought of the line “I don’t shoot dogs. I shoot fuckin’ fascists!” *shoots fascist*

2 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 2

They see something like "I don't fuck on tory benches" and they don't go: "Yeah, fuck torys!" they go: "Yeeeah he told a woman her fucking place!!!"

probably thought it was supposed to be ironic their only knowledge of the meaning of irony was from Alanis Morissette...

I really got to watch this show

Is this The Wind That Shakes The Barley?

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yes, one of my favorites

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm a big fan of Ken Loach, and of the legacy that he has given to cinema. Without Loach, I don't think we'd have people like Mike Leigh, Shane Meadows, Clio Barnard or Andrea Arnold.

Dr. Phil top right…

2 years ago | Likes 123 Dislikes 3

That version WOULD catch a lippy girl outside.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What dr phil does is more disgusting and evil imo.

2 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I’d enjoy seeing the two of them fight

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

"Dr." Phil is gonna get clobbered.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Why do you think I’d enjoy it so much?

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Fair point

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I've tried to watch but I simply can't understand a damn thing they say.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 12

Where are you from? Brummie is not that strong an accent, comparatively

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

America. Shocking I know.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Subtitles, innit?

2 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

If I wanted to read I'd pick up a book.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The show was interesting but had a rinse repeat formula.

2 years ago | Likes 57 Dislikes 5

Rinse, repeat, Tom Hardy gets his paycheck. Fin

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Exactly. I loved it to begin with, but it kind of felt as though it was a load of men who didn't know how to smile either growling, shouting or mumbling, and just going from one bad situation to another but somehow managing to get richer while doing it. I haven't watched the last series/season, and I really don't think I'll bother.

2 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 2

I felt that boring repetitive plot style in the first ep. but still watched 1/2 of the second ep.. could not watch further.

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 6

I got bored of the mid-season 'big setback everyone panicking' followed by the 'actually I was in control all along' thing

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I gave up on the show when the second season opened and they were still talking about the love interest from the first season, AND Sam Neil. Closer to a soap opera than a dramatic series if nothing ever changes and there's no character deaths

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Oh... There are character deaths

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah, just another mobster series with small time crooks becoming big, discovering gratuitious sex and drugs and their downfall because of it. The Alfie Solomons bits were fucking a, though

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The Solomon part where he's inspecting the jewels is my favorite scene in the series. "Your people hunted my mum. Through the snow. With dogs...But today is a day for forgiveness"

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It was a great scene. I'm partial with how he tested Tommy's brother to his face to lose his cool.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I liked the concept and settlng but hated that aside from the season opener & finale all episodes feel insignificant to the overall plot

Wow, you could actually watch this show and think, maybe the whole, "Woke Hollywood is shoving minority characters into places that don't make sense," thing is totally overblown by snowflakes who hate those minorities. Don't be fooled, though. Hollywood is still out to turn you, and your frogs, gay./s

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

It's funny because it's not even made by Hollywood, it's by BBC.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I'm sure if Alex Jones were here he would remind us that Hollywood is run by the globalist, and therefore is responsible for all TV and movies. Fortunately he isn't here.

Nothing you said in this convoluted mess made sense. At no point in your inane rambling did you raise a valid issue, and we are all dumber for having read it. I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul.

Are you really this angry that non white and non straight folks get included in media sometimes? Like your comment isn't even relevant except to show how much of a dimwit you are. Being anti "woke" is not a popular opinion on imgr either so I'm not sure why you would bother crying about it here...

Are they claiming to be historical documentaries? If not, then I don't see why it matters. Remember, these are just movies. They aren't changing history, they are for entertainment. Before you deleted your other comment, you even named people that aren't real, like Zeus and Snow White. Why does it matter if fictional characters are played by different races? Such an odd thing to be concerned about, honestly.

One of his examples is Bridgerton, a show which is explicitly set in an alternate timeline

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Hey. If you want to see yourself represented in media, you can always watch a Jeffrey Jones or a Kevin Spacey movie.

Holy shit that was nuclear

“These companies” have time machines!? Yo! That’s pretty sweet. Are they like… stepping on butterflies or something? I’m interested in how they’re managing to change history. You seem to be the expert on the subject. Enlighten me.

Take your racism and shove it up your ass, you POS.

Gay and intersex and trans people existed for all of human history. Your expectation that it was otherwise is revisionist. Try harder.
