BREAKING: CNN drops Wednesday bombshell, reveals that Special Counsel Jack Smith “secured a search warrant” of Donald Trump’s Twitter account,
@realDonaldTrump , according to a newly unsealed court filing.”

But it gets even WORSE for Donald Trump…

CNN continues, reporting that “the search was so secret that Twitter (now rebranded as X) was barred from telling Trump the search warrant had been obtained for his account, and Twitter was fined $350,000 because it delayed producing the records sought under the search warrant.

The special counsel’s office, which is now working on the criminal case against Trump in DC District Court related to his efforts to overturn the 2020 presidential election, sought the warrant in January 2023.

Twitter ultimately produced the records, according to the filing, now public in the US Circuit Court of Appeals.”

This is HUGE. First, it shows that Special Counsel Jack Smith’s criminal investigation into Trump is even deeper in scope than we ever imagined. Second, it’s devastating news for Trump because we can only imagine how much criminality and incriminating evidence Jack Smith must have found in Trump’s Twitter direct message inbox.

Third, but not least, it appears to prove that Twitter owner Elon Musk TRIED to delay or even deny the warrant for Trump’s Twitter records — a shocking new scandal for the already controversial and highly partisan Twitter (X) owner.

"Twitter wanted to disclose Jack Smith's search warrant to Donald Trump. A judge said no because disclosure could jeopardize the ongoing investigation. But Twitter still resisted turning over documents for another week, resulting in daily fines."

Fuck around and find out…

I used to think Elon was a hero. Then I though he was just a rich jerk, and then a total asshole. And now it looks like he is a criminal as well.

That's $350,000 that won't be paid! Make it jail time for musky boy!

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Why is this a big deal? Is there any indication they found something substantial?

How is that "deeper in scope than we ever imagined"? I would expect all records for any platform he used to communicate would be subpoenaed and handed over.

Not surprised in the least. One of the (more laughable) reasons why Musk decided go with purchasing the company was because he felt that Conservatives—and especially Trump—were unfairly treated by Twitter. I have absolutely zero evidence for this, but I would not be surprised at all to have found that the week's delay was so that Musk could delete some stuff out of the account first. Brutally illegal, but of course Musk has never really cared about the legality of his actions anyway.

If he did THAT, and if Jack Smith has testimony of the _recipients_ of any of Trump's DMs (and he very well might), Elon Musk might, at long last, reach the FO stage.

So Mr. "The Twitter Files" didn't want to release THESE Twitter files...

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I wonder if they spent that week scrubbing.

3 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

If so I hope their tech team has copies

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I meant by twitter.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Now here’s the question: did they also get a warrant for his truth social account? What other electronic accounts?

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Tech Bro Trump tried to protect Trump. Shocking.

3 years ago | Likes 83 Dislikes 2

Dollars to donuts that not only was Trump told but also tampering occurred with his account.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Fucking indict him, too.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Fuck Musk and…

3 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Fuck Trump!

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I wish ol musky tried something and got dragged into it.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

How is searching his Twitter account "deeper than we ever imagined" exactly?

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Okay, let's be clear. Elon Musk is a blob of dung, and I want Trump to spend the rest of his life in prison (*after* Biden stomps him again in 2024). But TBF I'd have no respect at all for any tech company that didn't use every legal means available to keep my personal data out of the hands of law enforcement.

1. Musk wouldn't fight for you. 2. Greater good. Justice and punishing criminals >>>>>>>>>>>> personal right to data privacy.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Can we deport this fascist fuck already?!

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just to clarify, this is part of an effort to establish that it was Trump himself that authored his tweets, not someone else he could potentially hang the blame on if any tweet were used as evidence in court.

I mean. I dunno about "a shocking new scandal for the already controversial and highly partisan Twitter (X) owner". If a single person here is surprised about him wanting to cover up for trump.. feel free to speak up here and prove me wrong about the surprise

Maybe they could share a cell, although it would have to HUGE to contain both of their egos.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Didn't Musk say that he would pay for everyone who got into legal trouble for posting x-crement?

3 years ago | Likes 183 Dislikes 2

I think the context was if they were unfairly treated by their employer for postings... So he'd need to get whichever company he owns that he's technically an employee of to fire him or something for some cause related to a post he made on twitter... which would then probably be re-reviewed as potential evidence.

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

After firing a lot of his staff after purchasing the company for ... *checks notes* ... making negative tweets about himself.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Now you know why.

3 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 0

"x-crement" Hehe

3 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Elon probably purged most of files. So I assume nothing new will come. Just adding his tweets to evidence pool. Elon doesn't pay his bills, so what would fines do to his idiot ass?

Recently decided to get a Truth Social account, which has been the best fun I’ve had all year. I’ve been seeing the rant show up and then about 20 mins later, I get the news that caused the rant, which makes the rant even funnier. In seeing this one, I’m like “Ah…his rant about Civil Rights. It’s all coming together.” 😂

"The judges wrote that the company, however, "did not question the validity of the search warrant" but argued instead that the nondisclosure agreement violated the First Amendment and asked the court to assess the legality of the agreement before it handed over information. The judges also affirmed that the district court did not overstep by issuing a $350,000 fine..." https://www.salon.com/2023/08/09/twitter-fined-350k-for-not-complying-with-jack-smith-subpoena-because-they-wanted-to-tip-off/

That very much sounds like Musk overruled his lawyers. An half decent attorney would respond before the deadline, not complain after.

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

What will a warrent of his Twitter account produce that just reading public posts won't? Are they searching DMs or something else?

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I believe this includes DMs as well.

3 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

IP info: Did Trump’s “will be wild” tweet, or his Jan. 6 attacks on Pence come from his device? Did someone else send the “be peaceful” tweets he has claimed credit for? Draft tweet info, search history, DMs.

3 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

Imagine all the read messages of Jan 6 rioters aping their allegiance to him. Would be great evidence that he knew exactly what kind of response he was eliciting with his incendiary comments. And if he was dumb enough to conspire over DMs, my God...

3 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

I think this is pretty overwrought frankly. I'd be surprised if Trump's DMs actually had anything incriminating, I think the DOJ was just looking to provide proof in court of the shit he was publically tweeting on J6. Who knows though, he is a damn moron.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

What is a big deal though is that Melon Skum tried to dodge the subpoena to the point that the court fined the everloving fuck out of him. That's a lot of money indicating the judge probably thought he was willfully obstructing the inquiry.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

I don't think he delayed it on purpose, I just think he fired the people who knew how to do it quickly

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Yes he did and was fined by court "But Twitter still resisted turning over documents for another week, resulting in daily fines."

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'll be more shocked if Muskrat actually pays the $350k fine.

3 years ago | Likes 85 Dislikes 0

How possible is it that musk had records searches first and wiped some data before deciding what to send to the feds?

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Elon paying a $350k fine against his 200B wealth (rounding down for simplicity) would be like me paying a 0.09c fine on my yearly salary.

3 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Imagine if he cleans Trumps account and the attorney finds out. Musk might be considered an accomplice and put on the bench right next to Trump.

3 years ago | Likes 46 Dislikes 0

Musk probably can't do it himself and no employee would do that: it's a federal offense that gets you in prison for YEARS and with rolling backups there's no way you get away with that bc you won't remember to delete all the copies. There will be offline ones in physical storage with security tapes showing who retrieve them etc

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Like it would require a vast right wing conspiracy among twt employees with ZERO non radicals finding out. It's impossible.

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Gonna have to start charging an extra dollar for those checkmarks.

3 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

I imagine he'll just start paywalling more site features behind Blue to coerce more users to join. Something like "you can only follow X many accounts" or "you can only have Y many followers" unless you sub to Blue. Or start limiting number of tweets you can post in a day or whatever.
