Looks like they zigged when they should've zagged.

Somebody's having a worse day than me, that's for sure.

People take off-roading very seriously

Can anybody remember where I parked my car?

There's an actual ROAD that can be used to get to Telluride you know, instead of the Death Zig Zag - https://www.google.com/maps/@37.9391226,-107.8188541,14.69z

You take the high road and I'll take the low road and I'll be in Scotland before ye.

It IS true: red DOES make you go fasta!

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

And this is why roll cages are super important if you plan to take your vehicle anywhere like that

3 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 2

I've driven a stock civic and a camry up worse roads than that. Not being a jeep we didn't go rolling though.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 9

Yup, my thought was where is the fucking roll cage. I saw one of these at an accident once. It was upside-down and just flat to the base of the windows. Whoever was sitting in it must have been crushed.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

This looks like an average National Forest road. 99.9% of people go up them without "roll cages" with no problems. I forget that most people on this site have never been outside before.

People say survive like it’s back to normal but that poor girl will never be the same.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Black Bear! Went down it in a driving thunderstorm one summer. The Steps are super butt-clinching but the view is untouchable

Jez ! Good to know there's a Road could potentially stop your fall & someone in their Truck will call the Emergency services .

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Note that the exact strip where it comes down has no vegetation. I'd guess stuff slides down there on a regular basis.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Can't park there.

3 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

I stripped down to my boxers in -40°C because my relief Motorman was late & my digger was in a hurry to go so he threw all of my gear in the box of his truck. I changed rippin' down a lease road & crawled in through the rear cab window.

This gif is perfect for so many occasions! This might be my favorite

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I've driven that road!

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Also been on it a few times. Not a crazy as a lot of the passes out there.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Ok, so this might be a stupid question, but why? Was it the only way to get to a place? What was that place? Was it just for the "driving on tricky roads"? Some context if you can.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

The scenery is great, and it's a famous 4x4 road. Black Bear Pass near Telluride, CO. There's even a song about, by C.W. McCall, I think.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yea I just looked up the road in a few videos. Jesus christ. It's basically "mountain climbing" but you do it in 4 wheel drives. So yea, "driving experience" seems the reason it's popular ... and dangerous.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

This just looks like a typical forest/mountain road to me? What part are you looking at? https://goo.gl/maps/qGEDYv1gWUeHZdba6

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Seems like they should have at least installed rails on the side of the road. I wouldn't drive that shit without them. Fuck that.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Have you never ever hiked or engaged in any sort of outdoor activity before?

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That Jeep had been rolling a while before it got to that point.

3 years ago | Likes 195 Dislikes 1

seems to roll across the next switchback up

3 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

It continued rolling after this point too.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thought it was a Chevy Avalanche.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

You see them rolling, you hatin?

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

yes, cars move by rolling

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Yeah, that's just how they roll

3 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

You got that right my dude, really extensive damage already when it rolls into view. Front end is practically disintegrated. Hope everyone is okay

Kinda crazy to think about, seeing as I doubt rockcrawler types don't have crumple zones or side air bags, lol.

Seems like the sort of info OP should be providing in exchange for their internet points, doesn't it?

Thank you. I really wish I didn't randomly get hit in the face with people dying on my Imgur scroll.

"Miracles do happen. A gofundme account has been set up to help with Suzie's medical bills." The ol' Miracle Beam needs recalibrating...

3 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

Came here to say this. That's some miracle. I'd prefer water into wine, and I don't drink.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yeah this is like, "I turned your water into wine! It's 5% arsenic. You're welcome. I'm so good at miracles. 10 points for God!"

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

if that’s a miracle, i pray for the opposite

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I absolutely fucking hate posts that showcase serious injury or death. Is it supposed to be informative ? Entertaining ? Some kind of schadenfreude porn ? Snarky comment generator ?

3 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 11

Seeing crazy things happen is interesting man. Where else do you get to observe the extremes that people can go through? I admit I wouldn't be cracking jokes if the person died or something, but it's still otherwise quite fascinating to watch stuff like this.

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Just like people who need to slow down to check out the half dead bodies at the seen of a car crash. “fascinating and interesting”. No.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 4

...no what? Cos, they obviously are very common and exist.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Huh ? Accidents are comon and exist ? Yes… yes they do…

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

Looked like that jeep had IL plates. Most jeeps that are decked out like that here are pavement princesses. Glad everyone survived that terrifying ordeal and amazed that second vehicle wasn’t taken out.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Black Bear pass is no joke. It's a solid nope for me

I wonder how Susie is doing now, 2 yrs later.

3 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Only thing found was from 2021, slight movement and hopes to walk again. I hope she's closto this goal now, she sound positive. Amazingly lucky to survive.

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Watching an interview. She was told she had a 3% chance of ever walking again, but she's been going through therapy and was talking halting steps again, interview is from last year so she could be doing even better now.

Thanks for this, Fake Craig. I hope she is proving those odds wrong!
