"Fosters Home for Imaginary friends" is a year older than "Ben10" and "Grim adventures of Billy and Mandy" 4 years older. The rest I don't recognize either. I'm 40 and Ben 10 wasn't even on Cartoon Network when I watched it.

/2 So it's not so much that *Ben* is the issue. Given how his story played out over time from here into Ultimate Alien, he was largely fine. But the Gwen shift and the Kevin-shilling soured a chunk of people on following along (which is part of why they both got put on a proverbial bus after this season) - and, in fairness, this began happening within less than a year of the ending of Code Lyoko, where CN viewers faced a lack of resolution to the *very* similar Yumi/Ulrich + William-shilling.

In fairness, for a certain portion of the fanbase, Alien Force was the point where two things happened seemingly in concert. 1. The reformed-Kevin shilling kicked into high gear in *really* short order, and 2. Gwen starting to rotate around him more often than Ben, with certain moments making it feel like her whole characterization was slowly shifting to revolve around the sudden attraction to Kevin - and the simple fact is that the dynamic of her and Ben *did* carry the early show for many.
